Multidisciplinary Brand Experience Designer
As a graduate from an architecture-focused degree program, I experienced pressure to fit into a box that was created for me by people I don’t really relate to. I’m a millennial woman, with a different perspective on design, aesthetics and the implementation of experience. They say to journalists “write about what you know”, I can design what I know, and that isn’t just one thing. I am multifaceted. I take pride in the diverse set of skills I have cultivated for myself in my life and career and I have no intention of slowing down. I love to learn, I love to be challenged and I can create that for myself so I can deliver amazing solutions and experiences for my clients.
I originally attended the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore for Fine Art, specifically sculpture and graphic design. After my time at MICA, I attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California for Industrial and Spatial Design. Through my studies and interactions with clients, I identified an opportunity to weave all of my interests together. Pursuing a degree in spatial design, I held onto my passion and skills in graphic design.
Now, I want to elevate design experiences with anything from branding to web development and user experience to product and furniture design. I have always had a head for business, talking to people and convincing people of products or ideas they didn't know about. Now, I strive to take these aspects of the practices of design and the business of design and weave them into a multifaceted and rich practice of my own, concepting and fostering complex brand-driven ideas through any and every stage of their evolution. So… I’ll call myself an “Experience Architect” because it embodies the essence of my process, from concept to experience.
I currently live and work from home in Upstate New York.
